Center for AIDS Research

The Tufts/Lifespan/Brown Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) is one of only 20 CFARs in the US. Funded by NIAID, the CFAR  supports  research on HIV. The Center functions through 7 cores: Administrative, Developmental, Vulnerable Populations, Prevention, Epidemiology and Bio statistics, Virology, Nutrition, GI and Metabolism.  The CFAR  is an interactive program with the Brown University HIV program. The goal is to foster research in HIV by providing research support, mentoring and developmental awards to emerging HIV investigators.
