Dr. Trotter works in several roles in Nepal. He is a voluntary staff physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital where he focuses of the care of people living with HIV. He also teaches medical students and internal medicine residents as well as serves as a local contact for Tufts medical students who rotate at this hospital. He also works as an infection control consultant at Grande International Hospital where he has helped support the implementation of the country's first antimicrobial stewardship program. Finally, he is involved in clinical research related to treatment of Hepatitis C in people with Hepatitis C and Hepatitis C/HIV co-infection and cryptococcal disease in people living with HIV.
