Why did you choose Tufts MC? While researching for fellowship programs, I was looking for an institution known for academic excellence and would advocate for wellness. Once I interviewed at Tufts Nephrology, I felt at home. The attendings and staff are extremely supportive. There is a good sense of work-life balance at Tufts, without sacrificing the quality of training we get. Given the chance to do the match all over again, I would still choose Tufts. It is a great community to be a part of.

Why did you choose Tufts MC? I chose Tufts MC Nephrology because the faculty and fellows are very welcoming and supportive. There is a collegial environment within the department and I wanted to be a part of it for my training. Tufts has some of the leading experts in Nephrology, and I knew that learning from them would give me the tools for a successful and fulfilling career in the future.

I chose Tufts Medical Center primarily because of the incredible people. From the moment my interview started I could tell that all the fellows, faculty, and administrators are genuine, down-to-Earth people and are a true family who always support each other. I've had the opportunity to work with and learn from national experts in nephrology all while enjoying the amazing benefits that Boston has to offer. The exposure to transplant, peritoneal dialysis, home hemodialysis, a longitudinal clinic, and an interesting consult service will make me a well-rounded nephrologist ready to begin a successful post-training career in any setting that I want.

I was drawn to Tufts for its warm and collaborative environment, great clinical training and the opportunity to pursue formal training in clinical research through the research fellowship. I had worked with nephrology faculty as a resident at Tufts, and I knew that this was a place where I could find mentorship.
