Observer Experiences

The Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA welcome observers and researchers from both United States Medical Schools and International Medical Schools. 

Please read below to learn about our application and on-boarding processes. 

If you are a United States medical student interested in a Neurology or Neurosurgery observership or research experience, please contact Anila Kraja (information below).  Anila will verify if we have space available during your requested time period, and then follow up with you regarding on-boarding procedures. 

Please allow 4 weeks for on-boarding and scheduling. 

In your email, please include:

  • letter of interest, which includes:
    • if you desire a clinical or research experience
    • time period you are looking to observe
    • specific dates (remember to allow 4 weeks processing time)
    • your most current CV

Additionally, if you are an undergraduate from the United States, please follow the same process. 

Because of the additional credentialing, all observers from Internal Medical Schools must first go through the Tufts University Medical School’s Office of International Affairs.  Click here to start that process. 

Once you have been cleared by the Office of International Affairs, please contact Anila Kraja (information below). Anila will verify if we have space available during your requested time period, and then follow up with you regarding on-boarding procedures.
