Center for Perinatal Palliative Care

Overview

The Center for Perinatal Palliative Care at Tufts Medical Center in Boston is dedicated to supporting families whose pregnancies and newborns have poor prognoses.  We offer expert medical, nursing, psychosocial and spiritual care to families in need during every step of their journey.  Our care is provided in a dignified, compassionate and family-centered manner that respects each family’s personal choices and beliefs.

The establishment of the Center for Perinatal Palliative Care was made possible through the generous contributions of the Zinck Family Foundation.

Our Values

At the center, we focus on:

  • Delivering compassionate care to families in need
  • Providing comprehensive education during the prenatal, postnatal and neonatal periods
  • Offering families a physical space similar to home where they can be with their babies
  • Giving patients access to peer support groups both before and after birth
