Orthopaedic Spine Program

Experts in treating spine disorders

The Orthopaedic Spine Program at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, provides orthopedic spinal care for adults suffering from trauma, disease and deformity.

With Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon Ashley Rogerson, MD, at the helm, we offer the full spectrum of diagnostic and treatment options for adult degenerative issues of the cervical, lumbar and thoracic spine, ranging from:

  • Myelopathy
  • Trauma
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Disc herniation
  • Spine tumors/infections
  • Minimally-invasive surgery

Broad spectrum of care

Every spine is different. As part of the comprehensive Spine Center at Tufts MC, our multi-disciplinary approach allows us to look at every avenue of treatment available today before helping you decide which one is right for you. From minimally-invasive surgical options for spinal trauma and deformity and a full gamut of non-surgical interventions, our treatments will get you on the road to recovery as quickly as possible.

Within the comprehensive Spine Center, the orthopedic surgeons work closely with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Associate Chairman Ali Moustafi, MD, for patients who may need a more conservative approach such as bracing, exercise, physical therapy or medication. We also collaborate with the neurosurgery team (Center of Epilepsy Surgery Chief James Kryzanski, MD; Spine Surgery Center Chief Simcha J. Weller, MD; and Neurosurgeon Ron I. Riesenburger, MD) for complex cases.
