The Department of Pathology + Laboratory Medicine provides comprehensive diagnostic testing services in a wide variety of areas in anatomic and clinical pathology. Our anatomic pathology team specializes in breast pathology, cardiac pathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology, endocrine pathology, gastrointestinal and liver pathology, gynecologic and obstetrical pathology, head and neck pathology, hematopathology, nephropathology, pulmonary pathology, and transplant pathology.
Special diagnostic services include electron microscopy, immunofluorescence, immunochemistry and cytogenetics.
The clinical pathology laboratories provide diagnostic services in clinical chemistry and toxicology, andrology, microbiology, hematology/microscopy, clinical immunology, serology, virology, tissue typing, flow cytometry, metabolic disorders, and blood bank and transfusion medicine.
