Tufts Medical Center has a long tradition of high quality training with excellence in all general and specialty areas of pathology and laboratory medicine. Graduates have achieved considerable success in academic or community pathology programs.
The goal of the Pathology Residency Program is to provide residents with an integrated and broad-based educational experience in anatomic and clinical pathology. The four-year program develops the trainee’s capacity to interpret laboratory data in the context of clinical diagnosis and disease management.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers a one-year fellowship program in subspecialty surgical pathology. The program prepares the fellow for advanced practice in diagnostic surgical pathology while also highlighting subspecialty areas of general surgical pathology.
