Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (also known as Physiatry) at Tufts Medical Center offers specialized programs and clinics for a wide range of problems that cause pain and discomfort, limit mobility and interfere with independence.

Our programs cover people who are:

• Impaired by severe neurologic disorders
• Recovering from a stroke, spinal cord injury or brain injury
• Struggling with chronic pain conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome
• Rehabilitating after an accident or sports- or work-related injury
