From the MBTA
The “Tufts Medical Center” Orange Line stop is located across from the main Tufts Medical Center entrance at 800 Washington Street. Other nearby MBTA stops are “Downtown Crossing” or "South Station" (Red Line) and “Boylston” (Green Line). We are also convenient to bus lines 9, 11, 43, 55 and the Silver Line.
If you enter the Medical Center at 800 Washington Street, you can take any elevators to the 3rd floor. Getting to most points in the hospital is easiest using the third floor corridor, which connects all our buildings. From the third floor simply follow the signs for the Biewend Building. As soon as you enter Biewend, you will see Phlebotomy (blood draw). Follow the hallway to the end (past the Pulmonary/Infectious Disease Clinic) and turn right. There you will see the Biewend building elevators which you can take up to the 6th floor.
From your car
Parking is available in the Medical Center's garage at 274 Tremont Street, next to the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre (formerly the Wang Center). Take the stairs and exit at the 3rd floor. Take a left into the corridor. Follow this to enter the Biewend Building. You will see Phlebotomy (blood draw). Follow the hallway past the Infectious Diseases Clinic to the end and turn right. There you will see the Biewend building elevators and directory.
For an accessible route take the garage elevator to the Ground level. Enter the building (you will be on the Plaza Level of Floating Hospital) and follow the corridor left to the Floating Hospital red elevators. Take these elevators up to the third floor. Exit the elevator bank and turn right into the hallway. Follow this to Biewend and directions above to the Biewend elevators.
From other hospital buildings
From Proger, North, or South Buildings, take any elevator to the 3rd floor corridor. Follow the 3rd floor corridor signs to the Atrium. Follow the Atrium to the signs for Floating Hospital between the Chopp’d and Topp’d restaurant and the Atrium 3 Pharmacy. Follow the corridor around 3 turns to Biewend. From any point in Floating, follow the accessible directions above.
