Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine

It’s not always easy to take a deep breath or get a good night’s sleep—and these problems often have complex causes. That’s why patients continue to choose the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Tufts Medical Center for the management of respiratory diseases, sleep disorders and other acute and chronic conditions. Led by Nicholas Hill, MD, our team of world-renowned physicians is highly skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension, asthma, pneumonia, chronic obstructive lung disease, sleep apnea, acute respiratory failure, and a wide variety of related conditions.

As part of an academic medical center, we have the ability to offer both inpatients and outpatients evaluation and treatment in a setting that combines state-of-the-art equipment with compassionate care. As leaders in the field, our doctors and support staff are experienced in the latest medical approaches, from non-invasive mechanical ventilation for respiratory failure, to Xolair injections for severe asthma. Many of our physicians and fellows are also leading research studies into respiratory and sleep disorders, which allows us to provide patients with the latest investigational therapies for these diseases.
