Our Colorectal division specializes in the treatment of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, physiological disorders of the colon and rectum, and the broad spectrum of anorectal disorders.
Tufts Medical Center is on the front lines of surgical technology, using state-of-the-art techniques to surgically treat colon and rectal diseases. For example, we perform laparoscopic colectomies on a routine basis. We are also one of the few places in Boston performing single-port and reduced-port laparoscopic surgery, which typically results in one, small scar and less pain.
