Gastroenterology Research

Overview

Research Innovation Supported by the NIH for 25 Years

Gastroenterology and Hepatology research has a long tradition of excellence at Tufts Medical Center. In fact, our Division's major research center (the GRASP Digestive Core Center) has been supported by the NIH for 24 years and is one of a handful of NIH funded centers in the US.

The research mission for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to advance the understanding, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the digestive tract, liver and pancreas.  Discoveries into the underlying mechanisms of gastrointestinal and liver diseases and new treatment approaches are facilitated by a collaboration with the HNRCA and the NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Research Center.
