The Hematology/Oncology fellowship program at Tufts Medical Center has trained many outstanding leaders in the fields of Hematology, Oncology and Blood Banking.

Former fellows now lead major research programs and clinical sections in cancer centers throughout the Unites States. They also direct transfusion medicine programs in hospitals throughout the United States and hold editorial positions on major journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Blood. The current directors of transfusion medicine programs of the hospitals of Harvard Medical School and Boston University received their training at Tufts Medical Center.

We also have a strong focus on the continuing medical education of medical providers. Our Oncology Grand Rounds series presents lectures on a great range of cancer topics by a variety of notable clinical physicians and researchers.  The presentation is given weekly and is open to all our medical providers, medical center staff and interested parties, such as our physicians, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, clinicians, therapists, researchers, administrative staff and patients.
