The Nephrology Clinical Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center offers educational and didactic opportunities for fellows.

About

For fellows enrolled in the two-year Clinical Track, the focused study block is 3-6 months designated for self-directed learning in an area of professional interest.  Fellows work independently with a domain mentor to develop clinical experiences, research or quality improvement projects, and intensive learning plans to achieve mastery.  Some of the areas that can be explored include:

  • Critical care nephrology
  • Kidney replacement therapy
  • Transplantation
  • Hereditary kidney disease
  • Medical education
  • Glomerular diseases
  • Onco-nephrology
  • Cardio-renal syndrome
  • Hypertension
  • Kidney stones
  • Clinical research
  • Kidney imaging and procedural nephrology

Fellows complete a capstone project in their area of focused study before graduation.
