Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program - How to Apply

Learn how to apply to the Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Those candidates applying for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Fellowship Program must submit a Electronic Resident Application Service (ERAS) application, a Curriculum Vitae (CV), a personal statement, a copy of the Dean’s letter (MSPE), a copy of medical school transcript and a photograph. We require a minimum of three letters of recommendation, one of which must come from a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A chairman's letter is not required, but is recommended. All applications must be processed through the ERAS.

Candidates must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved medical school and a fourth year resident in good standing at an ACGME accredited institution.

Candidates must have passed the USMLE Examinations Steps I, II and III (CK and CS) prior to starting residency training. We do not have a minimum score requirement; however, we do use a three-digit score of 220 as a baseline for evaluation of the scores. We do not interview any candidate who fails either USMLE Step I, Step II or Step III. All candidates must participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

All foreign medical graduates must have proof of ECFMG certification and have passed USMLE Examinations Parts I, II, and III (CK and CS). They must apply through the ECFMG who will then process all foreign applications through ERAS. The Tufts Medical Center sponsors only the J-1 Visa. It is preferred to have had experience in US hospital.

Our application deadline is Monday, May 1.
