Exceptional psychiatric care doesn’t have to require a trip to downtown Boston. As the outpatient satellite clinic for Tufts Medical Center, the South Boston Behavioral Health Clinic offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adults and children with an array of psychiatric disorders including mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and major depressive disorder.
We provide a full spectrum of services, including comprehensive evaluation, individual, group and family psychotherapy, child psychiatry, psychopharmacology and more. Our clinicians are also experienced in substance abuse treatment, and we offer two suboxone clinics for adults and young adults coping with opioid dependence.
Whatever your needs, our team of adult and child/adolescent psychiatrists, licensed independent clinical social workers, licensed psychologist, licensed mental health counselor, psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, psychiatric residents and social work interns go out of our way to provide expert care.
Mental health care shouldn’t be cold and clinical. At the South Boston Behavioral Health Clinic, you will always feel welcome — whether you have a scheduled appointment or dropping by for a cup of coffee. Led by George Sigel, MD, the only physician to receive the Boston Neighborhood Fellows (Unsung Hero) Award from the Philanthropic Initiative, our team of skilled, compassionate clinicians has a longstanding relationship with the South Boston community.
Many of our staff members, including Dr. Sigel, have been with the clinic for 20 years or more. Our first-floor location in a residential neighborhood makes us both accessible and private. We also offer a twice-weekly walk-in clinic for current patients, so you can get the care you need, when you need it — no appointment necessary.
