Critical Care, Sleep and Pulmonary Medicine

Asian Lung Clinic

The Asian Lung Clinic at Tufts Medical Center is a specialized pulmonary clinic that provides comprehensive services for patients of Asian descent. The clinic is the only one of its kind in Boston.

What truly sets the Asian Lung Clinic apart from other general lung clinics in Boston is that our staff is dedicated to providing culturally-sensitive and expert care. The clinic is staffed by an interpreter who stays in the clinic throughout the  session and offers translation services to any patients who may need it. Our pulmonologists have expertise in diagnosing and treating lung conditions that commonly occur in patients of Asian descent, including but not limited to:

  • Smoking-related diseases such as COPD
  • Lung nodules
  • Chronic cough and shortness of breath
  • Asthma
  • Pulmonary infections
  • Interstitial lung disease such as pulmonary fibrosis etc.
  • Abnormal lung x-rays or CT scans

We work closely with our colleagues in other departments throughout the hospital to provide patients with best and most comprehensive care possible. We communicate with the patient’s primary care provider to ensure appropriate transition of care.

Currently, the Asian Lung Clinic is held every other Tuesday. To make an appointment, please call 617-636-6377.
