I spent my childhood and undergraduate education in the midwest before coming to the east coast for my medical training. I found medicine because an uncle of mine that practiced medicine inspired me through example to learn more about the field. I hope to use the mathematics I learned as an undergraduate to help patients. I attended medical school at Columbia University college of physicians and surgeons and found anesthesia because the logic it presented reminded me of the mathematics courses I studied as part of my major in undergraduate school. I finished my residency at Yale University hospital and did a fellowship in critical care at Massachusetts general hospital followed by a cardiac anesthesia fellowship at Beth Israel Hospital.
