Structural and Chemical Biology Program

About

The Structural and Chemical Biology Program translates basic research findings on cancer into lead compounds in drug discovery.

Using validated proteins that have been identified as possible targets for intervention of cancer-relevant cellular processes, we employ screening technologies to identify small molecular weight compounds and refine these compounds using structure-based design. These compounds are being tested in both cellular assays and animal models to test efficacy of inhibitors and identify drug candidates.
