The ACGME- accredited hematopathology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center offers broad in-depth training in clinical hematology, hematopathology, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, immunopathology, coagulation and laboratory medicine.

The Histology Laboratory at Tufts Medical Center handles over 22,000 unique specimen cases, including surgical, hematology, pediatric, breast pathology, neuropathology, dermatopathology, ocular pathology, autopsy, surgical consult and research.

We offer 41 programs accredited by the ACGME. Our GME programs include 19 specialty ACGME accredited residency programs and a number of subspecialty and fellowship information. The Tufts Medical Center Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office provides support for the activities within our medical education programs.

Each subspecialty is directed by a member of the anesthesia faculty. Every rotation is educationally structured, monitored and periodically evaluated. Case assignments are based on clinical needs as well as educational objectives.

The CME Program at Lowell General Hospital was awarded ACCME Accreditation with Commendation for demonstrating excellence in compliance in all Accreditation Criteria and accreditation policies. Lowell General Hospital's accreditation term ends on March 28, 2029. Lowell General Hospital received approval from the American Board of Medical Specialties (“ABMS”) to award Maintenance of Certificate (MOC) credits for all CME programs and events. This is in addition to the AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).

Trainees in the Clinical Decision Making Fellowship spend two or three years in the program, participating in all aspects of the Division's activities.

Lowell General Hospital’s PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency trains the next generation of pharmacy practice leaders.

The faculty and team of the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies (ICRHPS) at Tufts Medical Center regularly present their research in articles published in the world’s most prestigious, peer-reviewed journals and by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
