Dr. Jill Maron and Dr. Errol Norwitz take larger policy roles at Tufts Medical Center

Jill Maron, MD, MPH is Vice Chair of Pediatric Research and Interim Executive Director of Mother Infant Research Center (MIRI). Her work has been at the forefront of translational research aimed at integrating noninvasive methodologies to improve care and outcomes for newborns. In her new dual roles, Dr. Maron aims to continue to advance scientific research at the intersection of pediatric and obstetric medicine, while strengthening the foundation of research in the education of our trainees and junior faculty.

MIRI PI and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Chairman Errol R. Norwitz, MD, PhD, MBA has taken on the role of Interim Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Norwitz’s stated objective is to use the immense research talent we have at Tufts MC and the unwavering commitment by senior leadership to the academic mission to build a strategic research frame that can compete aggressively in the Boston market, drive research volume, and effectively mentor and develop junior research faculty.
