The goal of this class is to teach patients the proper way to eat to achieve and maintain weight loss goals both before and after surgery.Weight loss surgery patients have different nutritional needs than non-surgical patients, so it is extremely important to know how to meet your body's needs for long term health and success.

Originally founded in 1893, we are a 234-bed general hospital offering a wide range of services, including expert cardiac care, 24-hour emergency care, wound care management and maternity services with an on-site Level II Special Care Nursery. We are the only hospital in the area offering an emergency cardiac catheterization lab, a life-saving procedure to open blocked arteries and limit heart damage. We are supported by over 700 affiliated physicians and have access to advanced specialty care with our clinical affiliation with Tufts Medical Center.

Relax through the process of art-making  This free program is for both Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center and Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery patients and their caregivers. All sessions will be held in a hybrid format both in person and virtually from 9 am–noon on the second Saturday each month. No classes will be held during the summer months.
